Today, Tuesday, the Salah al-Din Criminal Court issued severe prison sentences against a convict who received a “bribe” in exchange for promises of appointments.
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “the Salah al-Din Criminal Court issued three sentences of severe imprisonment for a period of three years for each sentence against a convict for the crime of receiving a bribe from three people in exchange for his promise to them of appointment.”
He added, “The court issued its ruling against the convict after he received a bribe from three people to issue appointment orders and proceed with the fact that he works in the Salah al-Din Health Department, and after their review of the department, it was found that they were forged.”
He continued, “The ruling comes based on the provisions of Resolution 160/Second/1 of 1983 and inference from the text of Article 132/3 of the Iraqi Penal Code.”
