Today, Friday, the Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of 3 containers containing human medicines intended for smuggling in the northern port of Umm Qasr.

The Authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Umm Qasr Northern Port Port Directorate, with a new qualitative operation based on accurate information from the head of the Ports Authority, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, and after obtaining a decision from the competent investigating judge, was able to seize three containers containing ( Miscellaneous (unauthorised) human medicines hidden behind materials for the purpose of smuggling.”
She added, “A proper arrest report was prepared and it was referred to the Umm Qasr Al-Shamali Customs Police Station for the purpose of presenting it before the investigating judge to hold the negligent parties accountable.”
