The NFL has eliminated its final four teams, and the San Francisco 49ers (+145) remain the favorite to win Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas.
After narrowly defeating the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round, the 49ers will host the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game next week. The 49ers had a touchdown advantage.
Baltimore has the second-highest odds after beating Houston 34-10 in the divisional round. Lamar Jackson deserves to win the MVP trophy this season, and he proved why with his dominant second half as the Ravens outscored the Texans 24-0 after halftime. Baltimore is expected to get a field goal next week against Kansas City.
If you’re not a Ravens, Chiefs or 49ers fan, you’re probably rooting for that lovable underdog right now: the Detroit Lions.
Heading into next week’s NFC Championship Game, Detroit has the best odds to win the Super Bowl at +700. The Lions will be the underdog next week, and based on betting power rankings, if the Lions beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, they will lose to the Ravens and Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Kansas City will be playing in its sixth straight AFC Championship Game. Patrick Mahomes has advanced to the AFC Championship Game in each of his six years as a starter for the Chiefs and was 3-2 in his previous five games. The Chiefs defeated the Bills 27-24 in the divisional round after Tyler Bass missed a field goal in the final two minutes of regulation.
The Chiefs are the betting favorite (+600) for this year’s Super Bowl after winning Super Bowl 57 last year against Philadelphia. San Francisco opens at +900, Baltimore opens at +1800, and Detroit opens at +2500. The Lions have early betting support as they open the season at +2200 to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM.
Super Bowl MVP Odds
The Super Bowl MVP market is rising, and Jackson is the favorite to win the award. This is interesting because typically, the starting quarterback of the favored team is the front-runner to win the MVP award, as the default quarterback always seems to be the one. Cooper Kupp did win the MVP for the Rams in Super Bowl 56.
