Baghdad/NinaThe Ministry of Interior announced, today, Monday, that (16) archaeological pieces were found in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The Ministry said in a statement that, based on the directives of the Minister of the Interior and the Undersecretary for Police Affairs to preserve the cultural heritage of the country, and under the direct guidance of the Director of the Antiquities and Heritage Protection Police, the detachments of the Antiquities and Heritage Protection Police Directorate – Dhi Qar Antiquities and Heritage Department, were able to conduct Inspection tours of the (Jokha) archaeological site in Al-Rifai District resulted in the discovery of (16) artifacts dating back to ancient historical times, and they were duly delivered to the Nasiriyah Cultural Museum.”/End 2
